Norberto Rosalez

Contemporary Literary Fiction Author

Stories that examine memory, time, loss, and the extraordinary hidden within everyday life.

Why I write

Portrait of Argentine-Canadian author Norberto Rosalez

I write to explore the questions that reality leaves unanswered.

My fiction engages with memory, identity, mortality, and the unexpected ways in which the ordinary can become extraordinary.

Each story begins in a familiar world, then quietly invites the impossible to enter.

Bio

ABOUT

Norberto Rosalez is an Argentine writer based in Toronto, Canada. His work includes novels and short fiction that move between literary realism and the fantastic, exploring themes of memory, identity, loss, and the hidden mysteries of everyday life. Rather than offering definitive answers, his stories invite readers to question certainty and embrace ambiguity.

For Norberto, literature is a way of understanding both the world and the human experience. Each book begins with a question rather than a conclusion, allowing characters—and readers—to venture into spaces where the familiar gradually becomes strange, and where the impossible feels unexpectedly close.

Living between cultures has also shaped his perspective as a writer. His experiences in Latin America and Canada have deepened his interest in displacement, belonging, language, and the many ways people construct meaning through stories. Whether writing a novel or a short story, he seeks to create narratives that linger with readers long after the final page.

INSIDE MY FICTION

Memory

Memory is fluid, fragile, and never entirely faithful.

Identity

My characters often search for who they are in unstable worlds.

The Impossible

I write at the threshold where the ordinary gives way to the extraordinary.
